He played 6 rounds of golf starting at 4.30am and finishing around 9pm raising a lot of money for CREST in the process. Mick Wells from Gemini Cars who sponsored the event came along to see Howard come in. The weather was on Howard's side despite Ascot getting a lot of rain just a few miles up the road! Howard was well supported through out the day by members, starting at 4.30am when he commenced his marathon playing with our captain Alan Burrows and ending the last 9 holes with lady member Jill James. There was a good welcoming reception at the 18th from Laleham members who met Howard and Jill halfway along the fairway walking in with them. Howard scored a very impressive 211 points over his six rounds! On returning to the clubhouse they were greeted on the terrace with a well deserved bottle of champagne.
